Taylor Swift's Dad Gets Angry at Paparazzi While Protecting His Daughter

Scott Swift, who is Taylor Swift's father, was enjoying the conclusion of the singer's Sydney Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift and her father Scott Swift had a night that went from celebration to trouble when Scott found himself in hot water, facing allegations of assault from an Australian photographer.

The New South Wales Police Force in Sydney, Australia initiated an investigation into Scott's actions after he was accused of attacking a photographer named Ben McDonald during a party at a ferry wharf in the early hours of Tuesday, February 27, according to reports from Page Six. Allegedly, the altercation occurred at around 2:30 a.m. as Scott and Taylor, 34, were disembarking from a luxury yacht after celebrating the conclusion of Taylor's Sydney Eras Tour shows.

McDonald claimed that Scott unexpectedly became physically aggressive towards him as Taylor disembarked from the yacht, walking towards security guards who were using umbrellas to shield her from paparazzi. "She got off the boat, she walked towards security guards who were shoving umbrellas in our faces, and then he charged," McDonald told Daily Mail, describing Scott's actions as unanticipated.

McDonald, who serves as the chief executive of Matrix Media Group, speculated that Scott "probably decided he needed to defend his daughter for some reason," offering his perspective on what may have led to the altercation.

An audio clip obtained by the outlet captures Scott and Taylor's security guard instructing McDonald to keep away from the umbrella under which Taylor was seeking refuge while disembarking from the yacht.

In footage, Scott can be seen tightly holding his daughter's hand as she attempts to avoid the cameras.
